The Irving Police Department shares an enthusiastic partnership with citizens and businesses for the revitalization of Irving’s Downtown Heritage District. We recognize the historic value of the area which uniquely captures the essence, heritage, and entrepreneurial spirit that help make our city a proud and sought after destination.
Our department takes great pride in each of our over 325 officers and seeks to utilize their cumulative and individual talents and/or areas of expertise to better serve the city. An example of that philosophy is Officer Brian Guidry (pictured on left), who is well known in the Heritage District. Brian’s specific area of patrol responsibility is the Heritage District, he does this uniquely through a variety of methods, including patrol by squad car, bicycle, and foot patrol. With over 28 years of service he has many unique qualities and an abundance of law enforcement experience. His dedication, enthusiasm, and personable demeanor help to ensure continued positive relations within the community.
